I read (in Susan Sontag's essay "Under the Sign of Saturn," I think) that Walter Benjamin kept meticulous numbered lists, in notebooks, of the things that he had read (and that Marx's Eighteenth Brumaire of Louis Napoleon was somewhere along the lines of no. 1692, or something interestingly high like that). Anyway, this strikes me as a fun idea, so I figure I'll use this space for a similar record.
